My Everyday Makeup Routine

I’ve been getting requests for a while to share my everyday makeup routine. These products that I’m sharing in this post are the ones that I found work best for me and my skin. I struggle with having oily skin, so making sure that my makeup doesn’t slide off during the day is my biggest concern. I explain within each section why I love the products that are listed along with the exact color I wear in them. And each of the sections, along with the products are broken down into the order that I apply them in my routine.

Overall, this routine works best for because its quick, easy and lasts throughout my entire day.  All the pictures in this post can be clicked on which will bring you over to the exact link of the product. I hope you all enjoy don’t be afraid to ask me any questions or give any suggestions! I'd love to hear from you!

I always start off by rinsing my face and then applying a small amount moisturizer right after. My go-to moisturizer is It Cosmetics Confidence in a Cream, this stuff is like magic and cures dry skin instantly, plus a little really goes a long way with it. Next, I apply my favorite primer, the Light Optimizing Primer by Nars with SPF 15. These two products alone start to give my skin a subtle glow which I love. Lastly, for the prime section, I spray a couple mists of the Rebound Complexion Prep Priming Spray by Urban Decay, which is collagen-infused and really helps to firm and smooth my skin.

Foundation + Concealer:

I swear by this combination! I start by applying the It Cosmetics CC cream in the color Tan. This CC cream is actually all I use for my foundation and I love it, it gives me full coverage but also doesn’t feel heavy on my skin. For my concealer, I live in Tarte’s shape tape in the shade medium. I apply this under my eyes and in the areas that I see redness such as around my nose, in between my eyebrows and sometimes on my chin. It provides great coverage and stays on all day.

I have to admit, I’m not much of an everyday eyeshadow girl.  And don’t get me wrong, it’s not that I don’t like wearing it, it’s just the practicality aspect of it for me. If I have to spend the least amount of time in one area…it’s going to be that. And to make it as quick as possibly, I normally use just two colors within the Stila Matte 'n Metal Eyeshadow Palette, the two colors I use in the palette are called fringe for all over my eyelid and vintage for the highlight under my brows and within my crease. And for my mascara, I use the Honest Beauty’s Truly Lush Mascara duo which features a lash primer on one side of the tube and the mascara on the other. This mascara is great because it adds nice length to my lashes and also helps them to stay in place all day due to the primer, I wear the color black mirror.

Next I set my face using the It Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Illumination (It’s beyond amazing and gives such a great glow on top of everything). Then I apply a little bit of Benefit Cosmetics GALifornia Blush to the apples of my cheeks.

Bronzer and Highlighter:

I’m a little picky when it comes to bronzers, especially when I don’t have a tan but this bronzer is literally my favorite ever! It’s Chocolate Soleil by Too Faced and I use the shade medium/deep matte. It’s the perfect matte brown with taupe undertones instead of red or orange which is my pet peeve when it comes to bronzers. And for my highlight, I use Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in the color opal. I apply my highlighter to the very highpoints of my cheeks and on the bridge of my nose/upper lip.

I’m super basic when it comes to my everyday lip. I actually use a tinted lip mask by Bite Beauty for this part of the routine and it’s in the color champagne. As the day goes on, I usually reapply using one of these two lip glosses, Bare Minerals Nude Matte Liquid Lip Color in the shade Smooch or Anastasia Beverly Hills Lip Gloss in the color Toffee.

Setting Spray:

Last but not least, a good setting spray to top it all off! I’ve been loving the Miario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe and Rosewater (major heart eyes for this) it’s super hydrating, refreshing and affordable. It also does a great job at giving everything a final, dewy look.
